Thermoforming solutions from MAK Polyplast

MAK Polyplast, a division of MAK Ampoules, started the trend of using plastic trays as protective packaging for glass vials and ampoules. Today, the company is known for their consistency, hygienic and eco-friendly packaging solutions. Sachin Jagdale explores

MAK Polyplast is India's one of the most acclaimed thermoforming company, servicing the packaging industry since 2002. The high quality standards set by the company for itself always guarantee world class service to its clients. The company started the trend of using plastic trays instead of paper trays as a protective packaging for glass vials and ampoules. This was under the able leadership of Dr Anil Aggarwal, Managing Director, MAK Polyplast. Plastic trays turned out to be a cost effective solution for the pharmaceutical industry with better aesthetic, attractive design, and better protection. Such rare-to-find features made this product popular among its customers. "Today, we are well known for our comprehensive and customised packaging solutions, manufacturing skills, expertise and excellent customer satisfaction. We assure our customers consistency, hygienic, eco- friendly packaging," says Aggarwal.

MAK Ampoules as a company engaged in the manufacture of glass ampoules and tubular vials for more than five decades, endeavours to offer a zero defect product to the discerning pharma industry. Such efforts and expertise of the company ensure minimum rejection rates and maximum customer satisfaction. "Our plants located at Vasai (Thane) in Mumbai, house eighteen manufacturing lines for ampoules and ten manufacturing lines for vials. Our manufacturing units have in-built stringent quality control measures at every critical juncture of the manufacturing process to ensure high rigidly controlled specifications for our esteemed clientele. We maintain a clean room atmosphere to eliminate particulate rejections," informs Aggarwal.

Today MAK Ampoules leads the Indian ampoules industry. The company has consistently strived towards being India's premier supplier of packaging products and services to the pharma, diagnostic, biotechnology, cosmetic and allied industries. MAK Ampoules has a wide product range, with glass ampoule capacities ranging from 1ml to 25ml. Tubular vials are in the range of 2ml to 50ml. Higher yield due to lower process rejections, close monitoring of three dimensional tolerance, clean room atmosphere for minimal particulate rejections are some of the features of these products. Besides this, an excellent team of technocrats is always on hand to provide prompt and efficient service.

Thus for MAK Ampoules and its group company MAK Polyplast, growth seems to be assured. Looking ahead,"we are looking to introduce polypropylene trays for the pharma industry," concludes Aggarwal.
