BOD Incubators

The unit is a double walled chamber, with glass wool / PUF insulation. Its interior is made of stainless steel and exterior is either made of mild steel finished in powder coating paint (powder coating on both sides of the mild steel) or stainless steel (SS). The unit has a full-length inner glass door and outside metal door with magnetic gasket and lock. The unit is provided with perforated stainless steel trays, with forced air circulation for uniform temperature, and PU wheels for easy move ability. The controlling system is PLC based with PC communication on ethernet and data acquisition system. The heating system has long lasting SS tubular heaters with SS fins. The cooling system that is CFC free, consists of hermetically sealed compressor coupled with evaporation coil and condenser, safe guarded by time delay circuit. Refrigerant 134A. It has got high grade reliable alarms. Both audio and visual alarms are generated for temperature variation. As far as safety is concerned the unit is provided with safety devices for temperature, over shoot in case of malfunction. In case of sensor when controlling sensor fails it automatically switch over to standby sensor. The unit works on 230 Volts Ac and 50Hz mains supply.

Glass flask cleaning station

IEWI offers glass flask cleaning station for the pharma, biotech and vaccine industries. The machine is used for cleaning and sanitising internal and external surfaces of the glass flask. The flask to be washed is loaded manually into the wash chamber. The flask is then washed with the help of high-pressure water jet nozzles having accurate spray angles for washing. This ensures optimum cleaning in the shortest possible time. This is followed by hypo/detergent wash, Clean In Place (CIP) wash and steam sterilisation. Finally the residue liquid on the flask can be dried using sterile air. The waste water can be discharged into a drain. A separate electrical control panel is provided for ease of operation. The unit can be used for washing PET bottles.

MCE-202 MultiNA

Shimadzu Corporation has released the MCE-202 MultiNA, a microchip electrophoresis system for DNA/RNA analysis. This system provides completely automated, high-speed agarose gel electrophoresis, and reduces running costs. Pre-treatment of DNA and RNA samples requires confirmation of sample size (length) and approximate quantitation. Agarose gel electrophoresis systems are the most widely used devices to provide this confirmation. Next in popularity are microchip electrophoresis systems, which perform agarose gel electrophoresis on microchips. Agarose gel electrophoresis systems require a considerable amount of manual labor, using separate equipment in each of six stages, from gel preparation to data processing. In contrast, microchip electrophoresis systems perform these six processes within a single device, are normally used for applications involving quick sample size confirmation, and generally offer only rough separation. However, even though the need for these systems is great, their running costs are fairly high, which has slowed the transition from agarose gel electrophoresis systems to microchip electrophoresis systems. Fortunately, the Shimadzu's development of a reusable microchip has resulted in running costs comparable to or less than those for agarose gel electrophoresis. This microchip electrophoresis system quickly and easily performs DNA and RNA size confirmation and quantitation. This system uses microchip technology to conduct fully automated high-speed analysis also, ensuring simple operability, high-sensitivity, and high repeatability.
