Lupin receives FDA approval for lisinopril tablets

Lupin announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved the company’s Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Lisinopril Tablets USP.

Lisinopril is the generic equivalent of Astra Zeneca’s Zestril. Lisinopril is Lupin’s seventh generic approval till date and the second in fiscal 2005-06. This approval came within one year of the company filing ANDA with USFDA.

Lupin is a leader in the Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (API) segment for Lisinopril with strong presence in both US and EU markets.
