EPP News Bureau - Mumbai

The Pharmaceutical Engineers’ Group of Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), is organising a full -day technical seminar entitled ‘‘Validating Pharma Water Systems Made Easy’’ on June 24, 2005 at Sunville Banquet Rooms, Mumbai. The registration fees is Rs 1000 per participant (IDMA/APA/PEG members) and Rs 1200 for non members.

The faculty will comprise experts from industry and regulatory authorities and the emphasis will be on the validation aspects of RO, DI, UV purification systems as well as TOC analysis, piping, distribution and storage. R&D scientists, engineers, QA/QC, production and regulatory affairs personnel from the pharma and biotech industries, as well as water purification machinery manufacturers will benefit from the seminar.

Water is a basic necessity for pharma operations. Sources are varied and the quality may differ seasonally. Water gets easily contaminated and in turn contaminates the product in which it is used. Even by simply storing water, it gets contaminated, explained a press release.

The one-day seminar will demystify all aspects of validating water systems. Be it DM, RO, UV, TOC, distillation, storage and distribution, with their first hand experience, the expert faculty will simplify this complicated activity.
