Waters named leading Analytical Instrumentation Company of the Year

EPP News Bureau - Bangalore

Frost & Sullivan will present its 2005 Leading Analytical Instrumentation Company of the Year Award at the third annual Excellence in Industrial Technologies Banquet to Waters Corporation in recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution to the analytical and scientific instrumentation market, said a release issued by the company.

Focused commitment to various end user industries has helped Waters maintain its leading position in the world’s analytical instrument industry since 1958. The company’s products are a mainstay of scientific laboratories all over the world, and are critically important for the development and manufacture of thousands of products and in helping ensure the safety of our food supplies and the cleanliness of our environment.

Its customers are household names in the areas of pharmaceuticals, personal care products, consumer electronics, automobiles, foods, and beverages.

An innovator in its field, Waters is aiming to change the name of the game in liquid chromatography (LC) with the introduction of the award-winning Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) technology. It provides scientists with greater throughput, more sensitivity, and greater resolution than the available high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The benefits to laboratories include higher productivity, more information per unit of time, as well as savings in labor and material costs.

The company’s Alliance HPLC system has become the new standard for performance and ease of use in the industry. Several end users have accepted these systems as the most trustworthy and accurate devices available in the market.

Waters has developed an exceptionally strong position by integrating mass spectrometry (MS) with its liquid chromatography systems.
