EXIM Bank to fund pharma companies for overseas acquisitions
In order to provide the much-needed fillip to the Indian pharmaceutical industry, the Export Import Bank of India (EXIM) Bank has set aside nine per cent of its total allocation to this sector amounting to Rs 12,000 crore.

Strides, US hospital sign agreement for specialised injectables
Strides Arcolab Limited, a leading Indian developer and manufacturer of pharmaceuticals announced an agreement whereby Strides will develop, license and manufacture four specialised injectable products to a leading US hospital company for sale in the US market.

Simple and rapid diagnostic tools key for fighting TB: MSF
In the absence of a simple, rapid test for detecting tuberculosis (TB), care providers in developing countries will continue to miss about half of all the people who need tuberculosis treatment. Efforts to control TB globally will be undermined, said the medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in a release.
