Shasun partner to develop and market generics in US
Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharma Ltd and Shasun Chemicals and Drugs
Ltd have entered into a collaboration agreement for the joint development,
filling and marketing of twelve generic pharmaceutical products
for the US market.

files two anti-retrovirals agents with WHO
Pharma major Ranbaxy Laboratories has made two further filings of
its anti-retrovirals (ARVs) agents, to the World Health Organisation
(WHO) for its approval, taking the total number of filings submitted
with the WHO, to five.
Strides
Arcolab inaugurates its new R&D facility
City-based Strides Arcolab Ltd has commissioned its state-of-the-art
global pharmaceutical research centre. The R&D centre was inaugurated
by T C Venkat Subramanian, chairman and managing director, Export-Import
Bank of India recently here.
Ranbaxy-NHS
settlement at £4.5 million
Ranbaxy Laboratories and the UK Department of Health announced that
the Indian major will pay the UKs National Health Service
(NHS) £4.5 million (Rs 38.5 crore) to settle a price-fixing
lawsuit. The company will make the payment without admission of
liability and will co-operate in ongoing proceedings.
