Parker Hannifin offers new filtration series

Four new lines of high-quality validated pharmaceutical filtration products have been introduced by the Parker Hannifin Process Filtration Division. Included are the ParVent series of validated sterile air filtration products, ParTemp moderate temperature sterilizing filters for air and gases, ParTemp MAX validated high temperature and high cycle sterilizing grade filters, and Sterion PT and PP ultra-high purity polyethersulfone (PES) cartridges for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries.

ParVent filters provide unsurpassed service life in sterilizing applications. Utilizing PTFE with polypropylene support construction, ParVent is ideal for use in fermentation process, sterile tank ventilation and sterilizing process exhaust in biological production. ParVent construction allows continuous use with temperatures to 160 degree F.

ParTemp filters provide outstanding service life in moderate temperature sterilizing applications. Using PTFE with polypropylene support construction, ParTemp is ideal for fermentation applications. Rugged construction allows for up to 50 cumulative hours of steam sterilization and handles continuous in-service use with temperatures to 176 degree F.

ParTemp MAX filters provide unsurpassed service life in ultra-high temperature applications to 221 degree F. Utilising PTFE with Nomex support layers, ParTemp MAX is ideal for high-temperature fermentation applications and can withstand extreme numbers of steam sterilization cycles.

Sterion PP and PT cartridges are designed to be the final sterilizing filter for critical applications in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries. Sterion provides absolute micron ratings by using hydrophilic polyethersulfone membrane and polyester upstream/downstream drainage layers. Sterion offers models using dual membrane construction and polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PT) end caps. Dual membranes allow a pre-filtration layer or a secondary barrier to ensure bacterial retention.
