Zydus Cadila receives award for export performance

City-based Zydus Cadila, a leading pharmaceutical exporter from Gujarat, received an award for its noteworthy export performance from the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The group was adjudged on the basis of being a top manufacturer exporter in the field of pharmaceuticals for the year 2003-04.

Ganesh Nayak, executive director, Zydus Cadila received the certificate of merit award from the honourable governor of Gujarat Nawal Kishore at a function held to mark the event.

The group has a presence in over 40 countries worldwide and markets both active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations.

It has also entered the global generics market with the launch of generics by its French subsidiary Zydus France SAS. Zydus Cadila with subsidiaries in US and Brazil is also planning to launch generic products in these markets soon, which would further add to its export turnover.
