Importance of chirality in drug discovery

Dr Jag Mohan Khanna, executive director and president - life sciences at the Noida - based Jubilant Organosys Ltd is a seasoned man when it comes to knowing the industry in and out. Prior to joining Jubilant, Dr Khanna spent a major part of his professional life with Ranbaxy where he created excellent infrastructure for R&D, IPR, Clinical Research and Drug Regulatory Affairs apart from building capability to develop and file 20 - 30 ANDAs per year in USA/Europe as well as a state - of - the - art chemical research capability. In R&D at Ranbaxy, he was looking at biotech research, herbal drugs, pharmaceutical research apart from also handling strategic corporate planning.

He also has to his credit the launch of Cefuroxine Axetil in the US in 2002. Among the other feathers in his cap, Khanna is also the recipient of awards like the ICMA P C Ray Award, DSIR award, ABI’s ’Man of the year’ award to name a few.
