AIDCOC and Millipore to hold workshop on aseptic processing
The All India Drug Controller Officers’ Confederation (AIDCOC) and Millipore has organised a two-day workshop ‘The Web of Aseptic Processing-II’ during February 14-15, 2005.

FICCI moots setting up of Biotech Council of India
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has proposed the establishment of a Biotechnology Council of India (BCI), an independent statutory national body, mandated to ensure standardisation in biotechnology education and training.

Workshops on Bioinformatics, Environmental Biotechnology at SIES
The South Indian Education Society (SIES), Mumbai is conducting workshops, organised by Indian Institute of Environment Management, on “Bioinformatics and Drug Design” and “Emerging Trends in Environmental Biotechnology” on April 1-2 and March 10-12 2005 respectively.

Patent Act will not affect drugs export: Kamal Nath
The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Kamal Nath has said that export of drugs from India will not in any way be affected by the amendment to the Indian Patents Act.
