TN IPA organizes lecture meet

The Tamil Nadu branch of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), recently organized a lecture meeting at Hotel Savera, Chennai.

The meeting commenced with the inauguration of the Tamil Nadu IPA Trust. A Krishna Dev, president IPA, TN Branch, welcomed the gathering.

G Rangachari, chairman, Tamil Nadu Pharmaceutical Sciences Welfare trust; K Raghavendra Rao, managing director, Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceutical Ltd; Prof B Suresh, principal, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty; S S Vanangamudi, managing director, Apex Laboratories Ltd and A Krishna Dev, president, IPA Tamil Nadu Branch lighted the panchamukha Kuthvilakku to mark the inauguration of the Trust.

K Raghavendra Rao, in his felicitation address, highlighted various success factors useful for growth of any industry in general and pharma industry in particular. The unique services being carried out by TN Branch of the IPA were appreciated by Prof B Suresh, during his felicitation address. The programme was followed by a lecture address presented by Dr A K Mishra, general manager QA and RA, Strides Acrolab Ltd, Bangalore.

Dr A K Mishra spoke on the evolution of formulary of Nutritional Supplementation in the US and detailed the similarities and differences between nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals.
