GSK appoints new MD

GlaxoSmithKline International has announced the appointment of S Kalayanasundaram as the managing director of GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited, India. Kalayanasundaram, who is currently the director, pharmaceuticals, will assume charge of the office with effect from January 1, 2003.

Commenting on his new assignment the new MD said, ‘‘We have an excellent and highly competent management team in India. It will be our wndeavour to continue to retain our market leadership keeping the thrust on bottomline.’’
